I want a new cellphone, I've decided. But I don't know what to get. The iPhone isn't a worthwhile investment in NZ, the main problem being Vodafone offering it at a less-than-useful plan cost. Compared to Optus across the divide, their plans make for rather unsavoury meals.
So, I'm left here sitting and pondering about what mobile I should get. Obviously something nice to look at, something that plays music well would be good too (lessens the iPod + phone load), and a camera's nice. Or maybe I can wait longer and just get myself some clothes. At least they don't come with subscription fees and telco monopolies.
But yeah, seriously. I'm clueless about the cellphone thing. Anybody?
Edit: Just randomly, but, man, wooden hangers are hard to find. Especially cedar ones.
Edit 2: Oh, found them on trademe. I suppose this has its uses sometimes over ebay.

iphone in NZ
Not really cheap, from the looks of it. Or maybe I'm used to comparing plans to those in the UK, Canada, and the US... But even so, I'm certain that the Aussie plans are more affordable as well. Hmm, I might think a little before buying the iphone.
$80 a month gives you: 120 anytime minutes, 250 MB of data, and 600 texts. You still have to pay $549 for the 8GB model and $699 for the 16GB model.
$130 a month gives you: 250 anytime minutes, 500 MB of data, and 600 texts. You still have to pay $449 for the 8GB model and $599 for the 16GB model.
$250 a month (which is just insane) gives you: 600 anytime minutes, 1 GB of data, and 600 texts. You still have to pay $199 for the 8GB and $349 for the 16GB.
Goddamn, but those plans cost quite a lot. At this rate I might not even get one, and just settle for a nice Nokia N95, or maybe one of the new mobile phones due to hit the market sometime. Sigh. If only I was living somewhere else.

So much for the cruisy life
Damn, but I really thought I'd be having fun and have a lot of time on my hands, but I don't think that will be the case. Its only Day 2 of summer school, and I've already got 1 quiz to complete, and 1 assignment due next week. ARGH! And not to mention I'm waaaaay behind in my suggested readings (still haven't bought the textbook either).
Goddamn, I wonder how Richie manages to keep up with making notes and stuff. Grrr....
I'm considering the order in which I'll buy some items, and yes, it is the question I've been asking people all over: Shoes or Jeans?
When I finish I'll actually post the results of what the numbers are =P
Personally, I don't think it affects my decision, since I've already picked shoes as my side, but hey, its interesting to see where it goes, eh?
On a side note, I've decided to return the mouse I bought at the start of this year, the Logitech G7 cordless laser mouse. Apparently the issue I'm having is very very common, everyone seems to be having it, which is rather annoying. It happens when I'm like pressing the left-click button, but instead of single clicking, it sometimes (randomly, too) double-clicks. Which is most annoying. Imagine trying to select multiple objects, then your mouse double clicks and opens EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Yeah. Bad mouse.

Alright, I know I sound incredibly silly, but I like my computer to have certain aesthetic touches to it. And well, I don't exactly like the Flip 3D option that Windows Vista has (Sorry Microsoft, but I really don't). I actually like the Mac look.
Believe it or not, I actually wouldn't mind owning a Mac, were it not for the fact that a lot of software (namely games) aren't supported by Mac's OSX. I love their aesthetics though. Especially their Exposé feature. Let's just say I'm suffering a case of envy.
I got a Windows version of it, called My Exposé. Do try it out if you're as silly as me...

My phone...
Its suprising how little you sometimes know about your own phone... For one, I knew I could use my phone as a modem, but not that it connects with theoretical speeds of 460 kbps!!! >.<>.< ... what I do KNOW is... I've been connected to it for about 25 mins now... so if they're going to charge... it's sooooo gonna cost me.... or perhaps they charge by the amount of packets received and sent... Either way, I'm pretty much screwed >.< >.< >.<
Nuuuuuuuu!!!! How does vodafone not have any info on this? Damn you, useless vodafone NZ >.< >.< ..... Gah... screw it, if I run out of credit, so be it...
